Upload products in bulk.
Adding a whole range, or updating lots of products at once? Fill in one spreadsheet and upload it to your portal. Here’s how, screen by screen.
Open the upload page
Click Products, then Extras, then Upload Products.

Download the latest template
Always download a fresh template from your portal before each upload. Mintsoft adds new columns from time to time.
- 1Download TemplateSaves a CSV file to your computer. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.
Using an old template you saved months ago can cause errors if the columns have changed.

Fill in one row per product
Each row is one product. For new products, only three columns are required.
- 1StockCodeYour SKU. It must be unique and match your webshop exactly.
- 2NameThe product name.
- 3WeightIn kilograms, as a number only: 0.42, not 420g.
- 4The example rowDelete the example row before you upload, or it will be added as a product.
Selling sizes or colours? Each one needs its own row and its own StockCode.

Upload the file
Save the spreadsheet as a CSV file, then go back to the upload page.
- 1Choose fileSelect your saved CSV file.
- 2WarehouseChoose the warehouse your stock is held in. Ask us if you’re not sure.
- 3UploadSends the file. It’s processed in the background, so you can carry on working.
Save as CSV, not as an Excel (.xlsx) file, or the upload won’t work.

Check your results email
When the upload has finished, Mintsoft emails you the results. Large files can take 10 to 15 minutes.
- 1AddedHow many new products were created.
- 2ErrorsAny rows that couldn’t be uploaded. Fix them and upload just those rows again.
- 3Download resultsShows exactly what happened to each row.

Avoid upload errors
Three rules for a clean upload.
Numbers only
Weights in kg and sizes in cm, with no units or spaces.
TRUE or FALSE
Yes/no columns, such as Discontinued or Infinite Stock, need TRUE or FALSE.
No gaps in required columns
Every row needs a StockCode and Name, and a Weight for new products.
Leave our columns blank. The template includes columns that only our team uses. Leave these empty and we’ll set them for you:

Common questions.
“Invalid Spreadsheet Format: The conversion cannot be performed”
There’s text in a number column, a stray space, or a required cell is empty. Check weights and sizes are numbers only, yes/no columns use TRUE or FALSE, and every row has a StockCode and Name.
How do I update products I’ve already added?
Use the same template. Fill in the StockCode and only the columns you want to change. Blank columns are ignored, so nothing else is overwritten.
How do I change a SKU?
Put the current SKU in StockCode and the new one in the NewSKU column. Remember to change it in your webshop too.
I updated a discontinued product and it became active again
When updating a discontinued product, put TRUE in the Discontinued column. If it’s left blank, the product is made active again.
My upload hasn’t appeared yet
Uploads run in the background and can take up to 10 to 15 minutes. You’ll get an email when they’re done.
Can I upload products for more than one brand at once?
No, each upload is for one account. Upload a separate file for each brand.
