ERP integrations · NetSuite
Connect NetSuite.
Run your business in NetSuite and let us run the warehouse. Orders flow from NetSuite into Mintsoft, and despatch and tracking flow back to NetSuite automatically, through NetSuite’s SuiteTalk web services.
What syncs
Orders in, tracking out.
Orders
Orders import into Mintsoft when their item fulfilment ship status in NetSuite is Picked.
Status update
Once imported, Mintsoft updates the item fulfilment to Packed, so you know we’ve got it.
Despatch and tracking
When we despatch, tracking is written back to the Item Fulfilment (ITF) record in NetSuite.
Before you start
Four quick checks.
NetSuite admin access
You need to be able to create integrations and access tokens in NetSuite.
SuiteTalk enabled
Mintsoft connects through NetSuite’s SuiteTalk web services, so make sure they’re switched on.
A dedicated user
We recommend a NetSuite user just for Mintsoft, so you can see which changes come from the integration.
Your fulfilment location
The NetSuite location we’ll fulfil from. Orders import from one location per connection.
Step by step
Four steps to go live.
Create the integration in NetSuite
You- Go to Setup → Integration → Manage Integrations → New.
- Name it, for example Mintsoft OMS, and set State to Enabled.
- Tick Token-Based Authentication and click Save.
- NetSuite shows the Consumer Key, Consumer Secret and Application ID. Keep them somewhere safe: the secret is only shown once.
Create an access token
You- Create an access token for the Mintsoft OMS application and the user it should run as.
- Click Save. NetSuite shows the Token ID and Token Secret. Keep these safe too.
Find your Account ID and Location ID
You- Account ID: go to Setup → Company → Company Information.
- Location ID: go to Lists → Locations, open the location we’ll fulfil from, and copy the ID from the page address.
Connect it to Mintsoft
Scale 3PL, with you on a call- In Mintsoft we go to Connect → Order Integrations → Premium → NetSuite.
- We select your client account, warehouse and channel, and enter your Account ID, Application ID, Location ID, keys and tokens together on the call.
- We set the connection to Active and test it with a live order.
What you’ll need for the call
Seven details from NetSuite. Have them ready, but please don’t email them.
Consumer KeyConsumer SecretApplication IDToken IDToken SecretAccount IDLocation IDOrder status that imports
Orders import when the item fulfilment ship status is Picked. Mintsoft then sets it to Packed.
PickedPackedPlease don’t email your keys, secrets or tokens. Email support to book a setup call, and we’ll enter them into Mintsoft together.
Good to know
How NetSuite works with us.
Orders need an item fulfilment
An order only imports once it has an item fulfilment with the status Picked. Sales orders without one won’t come through.
Tracking goes on the fulfilment
Tracking is written to the Item Fulfilment record, not the sales order, so it sits with the right shipment.
Stock levels
The standard connection covers orders and despatch updates. If you need stock levels or returns in NetSuite too, talk to us about the options.
One location per connection
Each connection imports from one NetSuite location. Fulfilling from more than one? Each needs its own connection.
Use a dedicated user
Running the token as its own user makes Mintsoft’s changes easy to spot in NetSuite’s history.
A premium integration
NetSuite is one of Mintsoft’s premium integrations, so there’s an extra cost. Ask us and we’ll include it in your quote.
Troubleshooting
Something not right?
An order isn’t importing
Check the order has an item fulfilment and that its ship status is Picked. Orders also need to be at the location we’re connected to.
I can’t see tracking on the sales order
That’s expected. Tracking is written to the Item Fulfilment record. Open the fulfilment linked to the sales order to see it.
The connection has stopped working
The token may have been revoked or the user’s role changed. Create a new token for the same integration and we’ll update it with you.
Can stock levels sync to NetSuite?
The standard integration covers orders and despatch updates. Speak to us about how to keep NetSuite stock up to date.
Where do I find my Location ID?
Go to Lists → Locations and open the location. The ID is the number at the end of the page address, after id=.
Is there a cost?
Yes. NetSuite is a premium integration in Mintsoft, so there is an additional cost. We’ll include it in your quote.
Based on Mintsoft’s NetSuite Order Integration guide.
Need a hand?
Let’s set it up together.
Do steps 1 to 3 in NetSuite, then book a call and we’ll connect it to Mintsoft with you.
