Webshop integrations · WooCommerce
Connect your WooCommerce store.
Link WooCommerce to Mintsoft and your orders flow straight to our warehouse, your stock levels stay in sync and order statuses update automatically when we despatch.
WooCommerceBefore you start
Four quick checks.
HTTPS across your whole site
The connection only works with an SSL certificate installed site-wide.
TLS 1.2, not 1.3
Mintsoft doesn’t support TLS 1.3. If your host uses it, ask them to allow TLS 1.2.
WooCommerce 3.0 or later
You’ll need WordPress 4.4+ and WooCommerce 3.0+ for variation stock sync. Check under WooCommerce → Status.
SKUs that match exactly
SKUs are case-sensitive, so they must match Mintsoft letter for letter.
Step by step
Three steps to go live.
Create your API keys
You- In WordPress, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API.
- Click Add key, give it a name like “Scale 3PL” and set Permissions to Read/Write.
- Click Generate API key and keep the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret somewhere safe.
Add the connection in Mintsoft
You, or us on a call- Go to Connect → Order Integrations → WooCommerce and click Add Account.
- Enter your store URL ending in /wp-json/wc/v2/ (see below).
- Paste in your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
- Set the order statuses (see below), turn on Sync Stock Levels and click Add.
We check and go live
Scale 3PL- We check your shipping options are mapped to the right courier services.
- We make the connection Active, and orders start importing.
Please don’t email your API keys. If you’d rather we added the connection for you, email support to book a quick call and we’ll do it together.
Your store URL
For WooCommerce 3.0 and later, add /wp-json/wc/v2/ to the end of your web address, with no spaces.
Order statuses
We recommend these defaults. WooCommerce also accepts pending, on-hold, cancelled, refunded and failed.
processingOrders in this status come into Mintsoft.
processingSent back to WooCommerce when we pick.
completedSent back to WooCommerce when we despatch.
Good to know
Getting the most from WooCommerce.
Instant imports with webhooks
By default orders import on a timer. With webhooks set up in WooCommerce, they arrive the moment a customer orders.
Variable products
Turn on “Manage stock?” for each variation, so stock syncs at variation level.
Detailed shipping names
With UseComboShippingName on, we see the method and its title, such as flat_rate:firstclass, rather than just flat_rate.
Tracking needs a plugin
To send tracking back, install WooCommerce Shipment Tracking (Mintsoft supports version 1.9.0), then we turn on Send Tracking Info.
Gift messages and personalisation
Custom checkout fields can be mapped into Mintsoft, so they reach our packing desk. See the advanced section below.
Keep your keys current
If you regenerate your API keys or change your site address, the connection stops until the new details are added.
Tracking
Courier names WooCommerce accepts.
WooCommerce Shipment Tracking only accepts certain courier names. We map our courier services to these names so your customers see the right tracking link. UK options:

Advanced
Gift messages and personalisation.
If your checkout collects extra details, such as a gift message or a name to print, we can map them into Mintsoft so they reach our packing desk. Tell us which fields you use and we’ll set up the mapping. Here’s how it works.
Order level: a gift message
Custom data saved against the whole order.
"meta_data": [{
"key": "gift_message_checkout",
"value": "Happy Birthday Luke"
}]
gift_message_checkout→ mapped to the order’s Gift MessageItem level: a personalised product
Custom data saved against one item on the order.
"line_items": [{
"sku": "CUSTOM-MUG",
"meta_data": [{
"key": "personalised_name",
"value": "Luke"
}]
}]
personalised_name→ added to the item as a name and valueTroubleshooting
Something not right?
“Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel”
Your server is using TLS 1.3, which Mintsoft doesn’t support. Ask your host to allow TLS 1.2.
“Unable to connect to the remote server” or a timeout
Check the URL ends with /wp-json/wc/v2/ and has no spaces, and that your keys haven’t changed. Security, firewall or caching plugins often block requests. Try disabling non-essential plugins one at a time, and ask us about whitelisting Mintsoft’s IP addresses.
“(504) Gateway Timeout” or “(521)”
Your server didn’t respond in time. These are often one-offs. If new orders are still importing, there’s nothing to do. If they’ve stopped, contact us with the affected order numbers.
Stock isn’t syncing
Check your SKUs match Mintsoft exactly, including upper and lower case. For variable products, “Manage stock?” must be on for each variation, and your store must be on WooCommerce 3.0+ with the /wc/v2/ address.
Tracking isn’t showing in WooCommerce
You need the WooCommerce Shipment Tracking plugin (version 1.9.0). WooCommerce only accepts certain courier names, so let us know and we’ll check the mapping.
A connection error after a plugin update
Plugin updates or new API keys can stop the connection. Check your keys are still active in WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, then contact us.
Based on Mintsoft’s WooCommerce Integration, Troubleshooting, Advanced tab and Webhooks guides.
