How it works

A connection we set up for you.

BluJay is set up by our team

BluJay sends orders as files to an SFTP server rather than through an app, so the setup is more involved. Your account manager plans it with you, and we handle the technical side.

How orders arrive

BluJay saves each order as an XML file on your SFTP server. Mintsoft collects the files and turns them into orders for us to pick.

Multi-line orders come in parts

BluJay sends multi-line orders as several files. Mintsoft joins them back into one order, so nothing is packed twice.

Retail prices carried through

Retail prices from BluJay’s files come through on every line of the order.

Step by step

Three steps to go live.

You

  2. We’ll arrange a call with your account manager to plan the setup.
2

Share your connection details

You

  2. Share them with us on the call, rather than by email.

  2. We test it with you, then switch it on.

What we’ll need from you

BluJay Supplier Code

Your supplier code from BluJay.

SFTP server

The server address your BluJay order files are sent to.

Username

The login for that server.

Password or private key

Either a password, or a private key file if your server uses one.

Base path

The folder on the server where order files are saved.

Port

Usually 22 for SFTP.

SFTP or FTP

Whether the server uses secure SFTP (recommended) or plain FTP.

Please don’t email passwords or private keys. We’ll take them on a call, or arrange another secure way to share them.

Troubleshooting

Something not right?

Orders aren’t coming through

Check the SFTP details haven’t changed, such as a new password or key. If they have, let us know and we’ll update the connection.

An order has arrived in more than one part

This is normal for BluJay multi-line orders. Mintsoft adds the extra lines to the same order as each file arrives.

Do you need anything else from us?

Just the details above and your BluJay Supplier Code. We’ll take care of the rest with Mintsoft.

Based on Mintsoft’s Blujay (Shop Direct) Integration guide.
