Before you start

Four quick checks.

Amazon has changed how apps connect

Amazon has retired its old MWS system, so you no longer need an MWS Auth Token. You now authorise Mintsoft directly from Seller Central in a couple of clicks (step 3 below).

Speak to us first

Amazon is a premium connection in Mintsoft, so let your account manager know before you start.

Have your Seller ID ready

In Seller Central, go to Settings → Account Info → Merchant Token.

Log out of Seller Central

Close any open Seller Central sessions, then log in to Mintsoft at om.mintsoft.co.uk.

Match your SKUs exactly

SKUs are case-sensitive, up to 40 characters, with no special characters like & or #.

Step by step

Four steps to go live.

  1. Go to Connect → Order Integrations, open the Premium tab and click Amazon.
  2. Click Add Account, then choose your warehouse and channel.
  3. Pick your Marketplace (for example UK, DE or FR) and enter your Seller ID.
  4. Optional: add an order prefix, and your IOSS number if you have one.

  1. Open the Amazon MFN tab and leave MFN Active off for now.
  2. Set MFN Frequency to 15 minutes, or 30 if you have high order volumes.
  3. Turn on Mark Order As Despatched, so Amazon gets despatch updates and tracking automatically.
  4. Choose your stock and product sync options, set days to check back to -7, then click Update.
3In Seller Central

Authorise Mintsoft

  2. Edit the connection, turn MFN Active on and click Update.
  3. Orders will start importing on your chosen frequency.

Selling in more than one country? Add a separate account for each marketplace. Your Seller ID stays the same; only the marketplace changes.

Shipping mapping

How Amazon names its shipping.

Amazon sends a shipping tag with every order. Each tag is mapped to one of our courier services in Mintsoft, so your orders go out on the right service. Here’s what the tags mean.

Good to know

How Amazon orders work with us.

Orders are locked once imported

Amazon doesn’t allow order changes in Mintsoft. Make changes in Amazon, then ask us to cancel and delete the order so it re-imports.

Customer data is removed after 25 days

Amazon’s rules mean names and addresses are wiped from orders 25 days after despatch or cancellation.

UK and EU share one stock figure

Amazon shares stock for a SKU across European marketplaces. To sync each marketplace separately, set up alternate SKUs.

Merchant fulfilled only

The integration is for Merchant Fulfilled (FBM) orders that we pick and pack. It doesn’t manage FBA stock.

Force Order Sync

Need orders now? Force Order Sync imports them straight away, without waiting for the next sync.

Despatch and tracking

With Mark Order As Despatched on, Amazon is updated with tracking as soon as we despatch.

Troubleshooting

Something not right?

Orders aren’t importing

Check MFN Active is turned on, then use Force Order Sync. If problems carry on, try a longer MFN Frequency, such as 30 or 60 minutes.

Mintsoft says “unauthorised” but Amazon says it’s authorised

Turn MFN Active on in the connection settings. Running the first import often clears it.

Stock isn’t syncing

Make sure your SKUs match Amazon exactly, including upper and lower case. Amazon won’t sync SKUs over 40 characters or with special characters like &, # or %. Amazon SKUs can’t be changed once set up, so update the SKU in Mintsoft to match.

“Custom Amazon AccessKeys/SecretAccessKeys are prohibited”

This is from the old MWS connection method. Remove the AccessKey and SecretAccessKey from the connection, then click Authorise and connect through Seller Central again.

I need to change an order

Amazon orders can’t be edited in Mintsoft after import. Make the change in Amazon, then contact support so we can cancel and delete the order and let it re-import.

Why turn on stock sync last?

If you turn it on before your stock is booked in and correct in Mintsoft, wrong stock levels could be sent to Amazon.

Based on Mintsoft’s Amazon Integration, Amazon stock sync and Amazon locked orders guides.
