DPD weather update
Dear Customer,
Due to severe winter weather, Code Orange is currently in effect across several regions. We are doing everything possible to maintain collections and deliveries; however, conditions vary by location and can change rapidly (for example, some depots may delay departures to wait out snowstorms).
We will keep you informed as best as possible, though real-time personal updates may not always be feasible.
Key Points for Today and Tomorrow
Local collections at risk: There is a significant chance that we may not be able to collect locally, including both local vans and CP collections. Where safe and feasible, we will proceed as planned; otherwise, collections may be canceled or rescheduled. We will notify you as soon as possible.
Domestic shipments under pressure: Limited last-mile capacity and growing backlogs at several depots are causing delays.
International flows: Cross-border partners remain active, but warnings and driving bans are emerging in Germany and France.
How You Can Help
Split volumes: Prioritize international shipments and avoid sending domestic volume where possible. This helps keep the network moving.
Update your website/checkout: Clearly communicate that deliveries may be delayed due to winter weather. This helps manage expectations and reduces calls to customer service.
Share local conditions: If your location is inaccessible or opening later, please inform us so we can plan accordingly.
Ensure site accessibility: Keep driveways, loading areas, and entrances clear of snow and ice so our drivers can maneuver safely.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Safety remains our top priority, and with these temporary measures, we aim to keep operations as smooth as possible.
