dpd opertional update
Dear Sir/Madam,
We would like to inform you about the current situation and its impact on our operations, so that togetherwe can prevent unintended consequences for our mutual customers.
Due to recent winter weather and local safety assessments, we were able to dispatch fewer routes than needed last week and this week. This has created challenges in the network, and to stabilize it as quickly as possible we have implemented several measures. For example, we are collecting less pickup volume from customers, and some parcel deliveries are delayed. Across the chain we have deployed maximum capacity, including an extra delivery round on Sunday; nevertheless, we are still experiencing constraints.
We recognise that these measures affect sellers who ship via your platform. However, the delays and pickup limitations are entirely the result of exceptional winter conditions and necessary last-mile safety decisions. They are not attributable to the sellers or their processes. Our request
To avoid unfair disadvantages for our mutual customers during this weather-related period, we kindly ask you to:
Temporarily suspend or refrain from applying automatic strikes/penalties for delays demonstrably caused by this situation (both delayed deliveries and postponed/missed pickups); and
Temporarily relax or freeze SLA/performance measurements for the affected shipments (including on-time delivery and shipping deadlines).
We value our partnership and are committed to limiting customer impact and preventing unfair performance consequences for sellers.
Thank you for your understanding and trust.
Kind regards,
Martijn Kleij
CCO DPD Nederland
