Cost increase from 1/4/26
PLEASE SEE BELOW A COMMUNICATION IN RELATION TO COSTS IMPOSED BY THE UK GOVERNMENT WHICH WE WILL HAVE TO PASS ON TO OUR CUSTOMERS
Living Wage 4.1% INCREASE
As you may be aware, the UK government has announced a 4.1 % increase to the national living wage, taking effect on that 1st April 2026.
At Scale3PL we run a lean, efficient operation, and our strong commitment to fair pay means we must comply with this change. As a result, all our labour-related costs — including order charges, picking costs, goods-in charges, and labour-rates— will also increase by 4.1 % from 1st April.
Business Rates - 8% increase.
From 1st April, the UK business rates applied to our UK warehouse will increase by 8%. As you’ll know, business rates form a significant part of our operational overhead, and for us they represent around 30% of our total premises costs. We always work hard to absorb increases wherever possible, but this particular rise is substantial enough that we’re unable to fully mitigate it internally.
Because of this, we will be applying a 2.5% increase to our storage fees, effective from 1st April 2026
We understand that any price change can be unwelcome, and we assure you this decision has not been taken lightly. Over the years, we have absorbed many cost rises without passing them on, but this time, given the scale and impact of the wage and business rates increase, we have no realistic alternative if we are to maintain the level of service and staff welfare you expect from us.
We value your business hugely and remain committed to high quality, timely fulfilment and transparent, honest communication. If you have any questions about how this adjustment will affect your pricing, or would like to discuss contract terms, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding. We look forward to continuing to serve you with the same dedication and reliability
