Fedex peak surcharge

PLEASE SEE COMMUNICATION FROM FEDEX

Dear Customer,

During periods of elevated shipping volumes, increased demand for capacity, higher operating costs, or other network pressures, a Demand Surcharge will apply to FedEx Domestic Services*

From 1 November 2026 to 31 December 2026, a Demand Surcharge of £0.75 per shipment will apply to FedEx Domestic Services. During this peak shipping period, the surcharge will support our ability to maintain the reliable service you and your customers expect.

For the latest applicable services, amounts, and effective dates, please regularly visit our FedEx Demand Surcharge page.

In addition to the Demand Surcharge for Domestic Services, the Additional Handling Surcharge (AHS) list rate will be temporarily increased from £12.95 to £15.95.**

For account-specific pricing, the applicable AHS rate can be found in your rate agreement

Important: Where applicable, non-standard** Domestic shipments could be subject to both charges.

Thank you for choosing us. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve your shipping needs.

Best regards,
Your FedEx Team

*We reserve the right to amend rates, surcharges, transit times, and zones as we deem necessary with or without notice and in accordance with our FedEx Terms and Conditions of Carriage. We may amend, modify, or discontinue any services offered by FedEx at any time with or without notice. Service availability may vary depending upon the point or time of collection or delivery, shipment size or weight, or commodity type.

** Additional Handling Surcharges (AHS) apply to non-standard parcels that cannot be sorted on our automated machinery and can be applicable for a parcel due to its weight, size or packaging. We attempt to optimise the way we handle packages within our network so those requiring additional manual handling processes are subject to an additional charge.

For more information, including the surcharge criteria and how to avoid them, please refer to our Customer Guide for non-standard FedEx shipments
