EU Billing Update: Moving to Weekly Invoicing

From Friday 6 November 2026, Scale 3PL will be changing the invoicing frequency for our EU warehouse operations from monthly to weekly.

From this date, invoices will be issued every Friday rather than once a month.

We appreciate that changing an established billing process can create extra work for finance teams, particularly where monthly invoicing has become part of your normal routine. We therefore wanted to give you plenty of notice and explain why we are making the change.

Why are we changing?

As our EU operation has grown, the volume of orders, carrier charges, storage and other activity passing through the warehouse has increased considerably.

Moving to weekly invoicing allows us to reconcile these costs much closer to when they occur.

It also means invoices cover a much shorter period, making them easier to review against your warehouse and fulfilment activity.

For our customers, we hope this creates greater visibility throughout the month rather than receiving one larger invoice covering several weeks of activity.

What will change?

The change is simply to the frequency of invoicing.

From 6 November, you will receive an invoice every Friday covering the relevant EU warehouse activity for that billing period.

Instead of receiving one larger monthly invoice, the same ongoing activity will be divided across weekly invoices.

We understand this may affect your processes

We recognise that even a relatively straightforward change like this can affect internal processes.

Your finance team may need to amend payment runs, approval processes, purchase orders or accounting procedures.

We are giving advance notice so there is time to make those changes before weekly invoicing begins.

If there is anything about the move that creates a particular issue for your business, please speak to us. We would much rather understand the problem and work through it with you than simply assume the change is straightforward for everyone.

When does it start?

The first weekly invoicing date will be:

Friday 6 November 2026

Weekly invoices will then be issued each Friday thereafter.

There is nothing you need to do now unless your accounts team needs to make changes internally.
